About This App
Archiver 5 is a macOS archive manager for opening, creating, previewing, and protecting compressed files. It handles ZIP, RAR, 7zip, StuffIt, TAR, and dozens of other formats, with Quick Look previews that help you inspect an archive and extract only the files you need. Create encrypted ZIP or 7zip archives, choose compression levels, split large files into smaller parts, and combine multipart archives again. Archiver can also process several archives in parallel and provides drag-and-drop workflows for routine compression and extraction. The current release runs natively on Apple silicon and is designed for macOS 26 Tahoe.
